SOUP KITCHENS THIS FALL AT UCE

This fall we are host to four Wednesday soup kitchens (three remaining) while our neighbor, Beth Emet Synagogue, celebrates the holidays of Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashanah, and Sukkot.   We welcome approximately 100 people to UCE for a meal, a bag lunch for the next day, and our hospitality.

Please sign up to bring food, set up, serve, or clean up. There are also spaces for serving as Kitchen Coordinator, Lobby Beverages Coordinator, Bag Lunch Coordinator or Clean Up Coordinator. Click the following link to read about these tasks.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION at UCE

Visit the Religious Education page -- and the Staff and Leadership page -- for more information about the Religious Education Program at UCE.

Nurturing the Human Spirit for a World Made Whole

With historical roots in the Jewish and Christian traditions, Unitarian Universalism is a liberal religion that keeps an open mind about the religious questions people have always struggled to resolve. We affirm the dignity of all persons, and we believe that personal experience, conscience, and reason should be the final authorities in the search for truth. Member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association covenant to affirm and promote the Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism:

  • The inherent worth and dignity of every person
  • Justice. equity, and compassion in human relations
  • Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations
  • A free and responsible search for truth and meaning
  • The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large
  • The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all
  • Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part
Welcoming Chalice

Love is the spirit of this church
And service is its law.
This is our great covenant:
To dwell together in peace,
To seek the truth in love,
And to help one another.
