The Talking Farm – work day opportunities and more
Time to get out your green thumbs. Sow some seeds or buy The Talking Farm seedlings. We will be at opening day, May 5th, at the Evanston Farmers’ Market selling our own organically and locally grown seedlings. We need volunteers for this last minute opportunity. We also will be at the Evanston Garden Fair May 19 and 20 and will need volunteers.
Our first work day at the Howard Street Farm has been scheduled for Thursday, May 10th. Be sure to check our calendar and work day page for more information and for work days as they become scheduled.
We are planning our first birthday of the signing of our Use Agreement with the Skokie Park District for June 16th. Help us brainstorm this “Dirt Day Birthday Bash” by joining our event committee. Contact us.

This event will help sustain the Evanston Ecology Center, an invaluable community institution dedicated to the environmental education in Evanston for almost 40 years.
