Women’s Circles are small, on-going, self-run groups of UCE women members and friends. Women’s Circles are a place for women to tell their stories and share their deepest feelings, knowing they will be listened to in a safe and trusting environment. There are four women’s circles at UCE and we welcome new members.
- The First Women’s Circle meets twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 7 pm. Luanne Vanderpool ([email protected]) is the coordinator.
- The Feminist Spirituality Women’s Circle – (FSWC) meets the second Wednesday of the month at 6 pm. Amy Grabowski ([email protected]) is the coordinator.
- The Third Women’s Circle meets third Mondays at 6 pm. Gini Sayad is the coordinator. ([email protected])
- The Fourth Women’s Circle meets second Mondays at 7pm. Ally Hunter ([email protected]) is the coordinator.
The four circles are similar in several ways: starting with a check-in, followed by a topic/discussion and lasting about 2 hours. Meetings are led by the group members. They all provide an opportunity to practice deep listening, get in touch with your inner self, form connections, and nurture one another. We hold in confidence what is shared in the groups. All require a commitment to attend. The Feminist Spirituality Women’s Circle explores topics related to our feminine experience and spiritual lives with an opening reading, check-in, centering/meditation, topic, sharing, closing reading. The other circles are more informal and have wider ranging programs on topics that are relevant to women’s lives.
If one of these sounds like something that would meet your needs please contact any of the coordinators listed above or leave a message at the UCE office 847- 864-1330.
