Realm Resources
On this page, you’ll find helpful tools to use UCE’s membership database and connection software. Short guides are provided as videos or text. Feel free to use whichever is helpful to you! If you have any further questions or would like to know more about Realm, please e-mail Adam Gough at agough@ucevanston.org.
Setting Up Your Account
Find your Realm invitation in your e-mail. Subject “Join Our Online Community!” If you believe you should have received an invitation but haven’t yet, please contact the church office.
Click the link in the e-mail.
The link will take you to a page to create your password and set up your account.
Check your e-mail again for another e-mail with a link to verify your e-mail address. Subject “E-mail Verification.”
Click the second link to be taken to the sign-in page.
Type in the password you just created and click sign-in.
Verify your phone number by entering the number UCE has on file for you. If you’re not sure what number that is, please contact the church office.
Logging In and Editing Your Profile
Go to www.onrealm.org
Enter the e-mail address and password you set up and click “Sign In.”
When you get to the News page, click your name in the top right corner and then “My Profile” on the menu that appears.
To change your picture, click on the circle next to your name with either a photo or your initials.
To edit your profile, click “Edit Profile.”
Use contact information to edit your name, address, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses.
- Click the blue icon in the right-hand side of the name field to see where to enter a nickname or preferred name.
- If your address says invalid, it just means it was entered in a format realm didn’t expect. If it looks okay to you, go ahead and leave it be.
Use personal information to update your skills, interests, birthday, or other information.
You will be able to see your family members that are directly involved with the church (spouses, partners, and school-age children). If you think someone is missing, contact the UCE office.
Editing Your Privacy Settings
Go to www.onrealm.org
Click your name in the top right corner, then click “Manage Privacy.”
There are four levels of privacy from most restrictive to least restrictive, they are:
- Staff Only: Only staff can see your information.
- Leaders: Leaders of any group in Realm can see your information, even if it’s not a group you’re a member of.
- Group Members & Leaders: Anyone who shares a group with you can see your information.
- Anyone in the Church: Anyone who can log into Realm can also see your information.
Each level includes the levels before it; if you select Group Members & Leaders, leaders and staff will be included as well.
You can use the Custom Privacy option to choose different privacy levels for different parts of your information. For example, setting your phone number to staff only but your e-mail to anyone in the church.
Please keep in mind our hope that Realm be a useful source of connection for our congregation. If you have concerns about privacy, e-mail Adam Gough at agough@ucevanston.org.
