Shop the sale on Friday, 5/2/25, 9:00a – 5:00p & Saturday, 5/3/25, 9:00a – 1:00p
Donations may be dropped off Sun, 4/27/25, 2:00p-7:00p or Mon, 4/28/25, 9:00a – 7:00p.
Setup for the rummage sale will begin at Noon on Sunday, 4/27/25. Please stay after church to help. Pizza will be served! Setup will then continue through the following week, Monday 4/28/25 – Thursday 5/1/25 beginning at 9:00a.

Remember that clothes must be on hangers and that other items should be sorted into boxes/bags and labeled by department. “Share the Sale” with neighbors and friends by giving them a copy of the tip sheet and inviting them to donate.
Yes! Sterling silver is a highly sought after donation since we have a pawn dealer who gives us very good prices on sterling items. Silver-plated silverware will be accepted if in a box in good condition.
We are accepting medium and small furniture. The rule of thumb is that if the piece of furniture fits into a van/car and can be carried by 1-2 people, we want it! For instance: sm/med tables, chairs, end tables, accent furniture, sm/med rugs, lamps trays. Items that we ask you NOT to donate include: dining room tables, sofas, large rugs, very heavy furniture, etc.

This year, you will be able to sign-up online to volunteer. While volunteers are welcome on the days of the sale, we especially need volunteers for Sunday setup and during setup week (Sun 4/27/25-Thurs 5/1/25.)
Bring baked goods: Café Rummage will be selling coffee and baked goods during both days of the sale. Donate one or more baked good items (sweet breads, bundt cakes, cookies, muffins, cookie bars, etc.) Sign-up online here.
Feed our volunteers: We need folks to help feed the volunteer workers and to donate food. Sign-up online here.
Monetary donations: You can donate directly to the sale to help offset costs. Write out a check payable to the Unitarian Church of Evanston, noting “2025 Rummage Sale” on the memo line. Or, donate online through the church’s website.
Yes! A FREE lunch will be served during setup week. And, new this year, we plan to have food available for those working late, too. Yay!
Yes! Click here for full page and half-page flyers, or stop by the weekly Rummage Sale Info table to pick some up. Hand them out to friends and post on community bulletin boards. If you live in a multi-unit building, post some around your building. Likewise, post them on grocery/coffee shop/etc. community boards in your neighborhood.
Yes! Signs for placing in your yard will be available at the Rummage Info Table! Check there to pick one up. IMPORTANT: We will be recycling the signs for reuse next year so PLEASE remember to return your sign, keeping the stand attached, to the church after the sale. (There will be a designated spot in the lobby.)
All sale volunteers who work a minimum of 6 hours are invited to shop the pre-sale on Thursday, 5/1/25. This gives volunteers a chance to purchase items before the actual sale takes place. (Please note that a 20% surcharge is added to the price of any item purchased during the pre-sale.)
