Proximity Partners
As we journey through the COVID-19 pandemic, we have witnessed many needs arise including the need for ways to affirm community. We have added another layer of community to connect and sustain one another as we meet online and in person with masks on and social distancing. This new layer of community is the formation of extended neighborhood groups – Proximity Partners. The Proximity Partners groups are composed of members who live geographically near each other. Every member is assigned to a Proximity Partners group. Your group will be listed in your profile on REALM.
The Proximity Partners groups are an ongoing source of support, connection and mutual care for one another. They are designed to provide connection with other members of UCE who live in your geographic area. Starting when the pandemic isolation protocols took effect in early 2020, these groups continue to gather together virtually and occasionally outside with masks for social connection, including walks in the neighborhood and along natural trails or virtual games and sing-a-longs.
