Ways to Connect with UCE on Social Media

UCE recognizes the important role social media plays in connecting with members and visitors online. We will aspire to be engaging and informative through social media to provide a welcoming digital community. For more information about UCE’s social media, check out the UCE Communication Guidelines. For specific questions, please contact the office at admin@ucevanston.org.

Follow UCE on Social Media

Like and follow UCE on Facebook at Unitarian Church of Evanston. See posts about current UCE events or programs, sharing affiliated non-profit events or resources, or simple posts of photos of the church space and congregation. This is a public account that also shares general information about the church and how to get involved. Attending an event at UCE? Feel free to “check in” at our location and share photos and comments about your experience.

Follow UCE on Instagram at @ucesanctuary. You can see images from UCE events or programs, affiliated non-profit events, or simple posts of photos of the church space and congregation.

Follow UCE on Twitter @ucevanston. UCE staff are not very active on Twitter, but hope to be more in the future.

Subscribe to UCE’s Youtube Channel at Unitarian Church of Evanston. This account is primarily used to share video recordings of Sunday sermons. Videos are recorded, edited, and uploaded by the Congregational Life Assistant/AV Technician, Adam Gough. UCE strives to post every sermon and virtual service that we are able to our Youtube page, but please be patient as it make take us sometime to edit the final video. To access the sermons on our website, please go to https://ucevanston.org/sermons/. If you have any questions about the content or our Youtube account, reach out to Adam Gough, agough@ucevanston.org.

Join a Closed UCE Facebook Group

UCE hosts three private Facebook groups for members and friends of the church: UCE Member to Member Group, UCE Children and Youth RE, and Unitarian Church of Evanston (UCE) Social Action. These groups are an informal platform of communication and do not replace other forms of communication with ministers or UCE staff.

As a member of any of these groups, we are committed to this covenant:

  • Write and read with open hearts and minds;
  • Be kind and gracious, welcoming our differences;
  • Practice curiosity and willingness to learn;
  • Take responsibility and hold ourselves and each other accountable for our words.

These groups are an extension of our UCE community and we encourage all to be mindful of our Covenant of Engagement, as well. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email the office at admin@ucevanston.org, or Rev. Eileen Wiviott at ewiviott@ucevanston.org. If you are not currently a part of these groups, but would like to be, please reach out to the office at admin@ucevanston.org.

  • UCE Member to Member Group – This group is made up of active members and friends of the Unitarian Church of Evanston as a platform to communicate with one another and share personal news, events, or activities. Please note that this does not replace other forms of communication. To communicate with a minister or UCE staff member, please contact them directly.

  • Unitarian Church of Evanston (UCE) Social Action – This group is made up of members and friends of the Unitarian Church of Evanston committed to building a more sustainable, equitable, peaceful, and loving world.

  • UCE Children and Youth RE – This group is welcome to friends of Children and Youth Religious Education at Unitarian Church of Evanston. This is a space where UCE RE families and teachers can help build community and share information and inspiration around children and youth programs. We would love folks to be comfortable chiming in and sharking knowledge with one another.
