UCE Organizational Chart

Definitions

Committee: Group formed to provide recommendations, gather information, or complete specific tasks for the larger organization. Accountable to a parent body (Congregation, Board, or Executive Team).

Task Force: Task Force: Group that is created by and accountable to the Board. Group’s existence is time limited and narrow in focus by design.

Council: Group with a designated theme that consists of representatives from numerous teams. Senior staff coordinate the agenda and facilitate the meetings of the various Councils.

Team: A collaborative group of individuals with a shared purpose and accountability for achieving a common goal, characterized by strong interdependence, proactive problem-solving, and collective responsibility for the final outcome. Accountable to a Council or a staff member.

Working Group: Group that is a sub-group, often a program specific group, of an existing team.
