“Jefferson’s Gospel” – 9:15 and 11:00am
Throughout his adult life, Thomas Jefferson, a self-professed “Unitarian of one,” was obsessed with creating a single, cohesive narrative of Jesus’ teaching, which he eventually titled The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth. With razor in hand, he literally spent decades cutting apart the gospels to reveal what he felt were the essentials of Jesus’ ministry. It’s the “Greatest Story Ever Told” as only Jefferson could.
